      I’ve got no room on my calendar for useless pseudo-holidays of an almost purely commercial nature, which “Valentine’s” Day has certainly become. I use the quotes deliberately, of course, since I’ve got nothing against the real St. Valentine’s Day (i.e., commemorating the heroic martyrdom of an honoured saint) – it’s the secular version that I’ve got serious issues with, and wholeheartedly oppose.
